In pursuit of a dream

Staring up into an arid sky
I saw the clouds begin to cry
They wept and filled the land
new growth began to cover sand
Another sight I got to see
O what a lady, she
She danced between the stars
Her beauty dazzled from afar
and then she dove straight down
and set herself upon the ground
I had to know this goddess sweet
I had to find the place where we would meet
So out I’ll set and go that way
my journey starts this very day

Note:  This is a parallel to “The beginning of a dream

  2. This is a beautiful poem. You really captured the dreamlike state! I love the flow of this poem as well.

I think the word “began” in line two should be “begin.”

    Have a wonderful day!

  3. “Staring up into an arid sky
I saw the clouds began to cry”

Tremendous opening lines. Lots of emotion in this poem. Thanks
